The village had three pubs (simply in order as you come up through the village from the direction of Oxford):
The Red Lion
The Red Lion was on the Oxford Road at the top of Clinkard’s Hill. It is now a residential property.
The Plough
The Plough was in a prominent position on the hairpin bend in the middle of the village where The Hill, Pettiwell and the Oxford Road all meet. It is now a residential property.
The Three Horseshoes
The Three Horseshoes is tucked away on The Green.
This particular establishment re-opened in Spring 2005 after significant fire damage at the end of 2004.
